I have stated before record keeping in the 80s was nowhere near what it is today.

I'm sure threats were also likely made toward anyone connected to those records, in the same way, as the Roswell residents were.

Los Alamos was their* screw-up. Los Alamos denies under threat Bob ever worked there. Somebody was sloppy and missed that phonebook.

So they end up contradicting themselves.
